Registration is from August 9 to September 23, 2010

Instructions

Please fill out the following registration form. There is a $25 registration fee, which must be paid on the Admission website. This fee is not-refundable, without exception. Please note that your registration will only be considered complete once the payment has been made.

Once your registration is complete, you will receive an email with the date and time of your audition.

Audition times for the 4 categories

Classical — Saturday, September 25, at 9:30 a.m.
Blues/Rock — Saturday, September 25, at 1:00 p.m.
Jazz (archtop or gypsy) — Sunday, September 26, at 9:30 a.m.
Acoustic (fingerstyle, fingerpicking or flatpicking) Sunday, September 26, at 1:00 p.m.

The order in which the participants will audition will be first come, first served. The hours for the auditions are firm and unchangeable.

Rules of the Montreal Guitar Grand Prix

Deadline
Candidates must fill out the registration form in full by 5:00 p.m. on September 23, 2010.
Registration fee
1. The CAN $25 (taxes and fees included) registration fee payable at Admission is non-refundable, without exception.
2. The registration fees are applicable to registration in one or two of the Contest categories.
I recognize that under no circumstances will the Montreal Guitar Show (MGS), the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, Godin Guitars, Steve’s Music Store, Marshall Amps, Hartke, DigiTech, Samson, or L’Équipe Spectra (jointly referred to hereinafter as the “Organizer”), be held liable for any loss of opportunity if I am unable to have an audition owing to excessive number of participants, or for any reason whatsoever that lies beyond the control of the Organizer. The “first come, first served” criterion applies for subscriptions. Auditions will be held at 9:30 am and 1 pm on Saturday, September 25 and at 9:30 am and 1 pm on Sunday, September 26. It is understood that the Organizer will do everything within its power to hear all the qualified, pre-selected musicians who present themselves on the audition premises. In the event that, due to a lack of time, the Organizer is unable to hear all the candidates who come for auditions, it undertakes to reimburse these candidates for the registration fee (excluding service charges).
I hereby undertake to keep any and all information regarding the Contest confidential, and recognize that I am not authorized to grant an interview or make any comments or divulge any information to the public and the media without the prior consent of the Organizer, including, without limitation, all information concerning the results of the auditions and any subsequent heats (the finals), the performance given by any participant, including myself, as well as any and all comments made by the Judges’ Panel and/or the Organizer.
I hereby authorize the Organizer and its agents to use, exploit and distribute in any media whatsoever, known now or hereafter created, including, without limitation, the Internet, worldwide in perpetuity, my audition, performance, appearance, comments, name, likeness, image, place of residence, declarations or voice, for publicity purposes, without any further authorization or compensation of any nature or type whatsoever.
Only the official online registration form will be accepted subject to the conditions stipulated in the participation rules.
I recognize that all decisions made by the Judges’ Panel and/or the Organizer are final and without appeal.
